YSL Tuxedo Sharp Patchouli is part of Yves Saint Laurent's Le Vestiaire des Parfums collection, and is a new fragrance which is an update of the original Tuxedo which was launched in 2015.
This fragrance opens with a blend of delicate violet leaf, spicy coriander, and zingy bergamot. The heart features a floral bouquet of lily of the valley and rose, accented by black pepper. The base is composed of patchouli, ambergris, and bourbon vanilla, creating a powerful, woodsy foundation.
At the heart of Tuxedo lies patchouli, its earthy, woody depths masterfully sculpted to create a sleek, unforgettable olfactory silhouette. This iconic material was crafted in Grasse to enhance the most sensuous, sophisticated facets of its deep, dark woodiness. “This heart of patchouli forms the core of the fragrance, bringing verticality and style – two signature elements of the tuxedo”, explains the perfumer, Juliette Karagueuzoglou, who was also perfumer of the original Tuxedo.
