1873 by Histoires de Parfums is a fizzy blend of citruses, vanilla and caramel. The fragrance opens up with a big zesty collection of citrus fruits which give a bubbly texture similar to champagne. As the fragrance dries, the vanilla and caramel notes become more prominent and the fragrance transitions into a more gourmand like fragrance. 1873 is inspired by the life of Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette (1873-1954) a French author who was nominated for the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1948, best known for her novella Gigi.
