Desert Rosewood is a warm spicy balsamic woody fragrance. The wood note used in this fragrance comes from desert rosewood (the resinous Buddha wood, part of the sandalwood family) which gives a slightly dry feel. There is a note of Sicilian mandarin orange which complements the unique characteristic of the rosewood used. The fragrance is made mildly sweet by a vanilla note which works with benzoin to create a balsamic sweetness. "Desert Rosewood's ambery warmth cast a spicy richness, bringing good memories of previous autumns."
"Desert Rosewood presents a rich, amber, and woody fragrance that evokes thick, arid deep forests. A heady rush of resinous Australian buddha wood reveals a sweetness of mandarin and vanilla, before finally settling into an exotic blend of wood and spices... The unique, spicy and earthy oil of this tree had never before been used in a perfume – until we created Desert Rosewood. ..Buddha wood's deep, ochre-red oil lends a beautiful hue to this woody-amber perfume, and its rich scent creates a distinct and luxurious sillage around the wearer." (Notes from the perfume house.)
